Hyakujo - who was a famous Chinese Zen teacher would work alongside his students even when he reached the ripe old age of 80. His work included tending the gardens keeping the monastery grounds clean and tidy.
His students felt he should stop work and rest his aged body but he just would not listen to their advice. So to make him stop they hid away his tools where he couldn't find them.
The very next day Hyakujo refused to eat and he repeated this the day after. The students reflected on their actions and decided to put his tools back in the place where he had taken them.
That night the Zen master worked and ate as was his normal routine. When he had eaten he told his students “No work, no food”.

ReplyDeleteLet me tell you the history about SANNAK SAMBODHI, TAMAN DESA JAYA, KEPONG, KUALA LUMPUR. Last time we were members of the temple but now we are very far apart because now the committee members are very proud of the activities or duties of the temple.
On the other hand, the current president of the temple is YIP KUM FOOK and son YIP JIUN HANN. His son always said to the devotees: THIS TEMPLE IS MY FATHER'S TEMPLE. Or is it my father's property…we are silent because We know this temple very well where it came from...
Now the members of the temple committees are their only group. Others cannot join as members and use Myanmar monks only for service and blessing. Only Burmese monks are very smart. (All monks from Myanmar have the rank of DR or PH. D), but the disciples(devotees) here are very confused because the disciples here have never heard of that name(titles).

ReplyDeleteWe would like to inform our Buddhist about Yip Kum Fook who is president of SAMNAK SAMBODHI BUDDHIST ASSOCIATION, Taman Desa Jaya, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
He is planning to turn the SAMNAK SAMBODHI into a Mahayana temple. but was not successful as some committees died without any illnesses, Yip Kum Fook rebelled against Buddhists all the time.
Yip kum Fook is a stubborn, dirty-minded man who is always angry with his son (Yip Jiun Han). His son is now insane and unconscious. When we are at the SAMNAK SAMBODHI, the son always comes to talk with us about family. We know that this is a kind of karma, fluent.
please research on internet or google about Yip Kum Fook to know more details and we are Buddhists need to protect our Buddha words. We know this SAMNAK SAMBODHI BUDDHIST TEMPLE we have seldom worked hardly before. PLEASE SHARE WITH EVERYONE.

现在世界各先进国都盡力保存佛教的文化和保护佛教的僧侶，但马华公会鹅唛區会主席叶金福律师 (Yip Kum Fook, MCA Gombak Chairman) 却反其道而行, 帶一般流垊到佛教埾地(SAMNAK SAMBODHI THAI BUDDHIST TEMPLE, NO: 19 JALAN 38 TAMAN DESA JAYA KEPONG 52100 KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA)試圄摧毁佛教文化, 挑衅和打架, 并电招警方人員要扣留佛寺沙彌, 这种不按佛教條规, 軽视佛教精神的行动, 对世界佛教信徒实有侮辱之举, 的确令人不敢恭维.

ReplyDeleteI am Myanmar who working in Malaysia more than 10 years and I would like to explain about SAMNAK SAMBODHI BUDDHIST ASSOCIATION. Therefore, recently I stayed at SASANARAKKHA BUDDHIST SANCTUARY (SBS), Taiping, Perak. I am very close with Ven. U Nandiya Maha Thero.
My monk Ven. U Nandiya is very good heart and compassion to everyone in the world, also I heard when he stayed at Kuala Lumpur Buddhist Temple, he lends donation money to President of Temple (DATUK YIP KUM FOOK, MCA Gombak) with amount RM20,000.00 only and he said that money belong to Myanmar society in Malaysia.
On the other hand, my monk said, also many things happened when he stayed there because committees always disturbing, I am very sadly about that matter, why committees are very poor and crooks. Others Temple, people come to Temple to respected Buddha and Monks, also give red packet to monks. Why this Temple, monks must give money to committees, this is opposite.
If anyone receive or read this message, please inform to DATUK YIP KUM FOOK (president of Temple) to return that amount to my monk as soon as possible.

Anyone visiting this Buddhist Temple must be careful with the committee members as they can suck your money and the president of the Temple is also more sucking monks’ money already, add and call the police to arrest Buddhist monks
