It must be said I'm not a fan of the Dhammakaya Foundation but remain in awe of the sheer vastness of their 'temple' compound just outside of Bangkok with its UFO like golden stupa (dome).

With their global 24 hours DMC channel and vast orchestrated ceremonies they provide a powerful symbolic presence which is amplified in a poorer country such as Thailand. Thai people remain deeply divided about the purpose and authenticity of the movement with their emphasis on material success and temple building on an epic scale. So it's fitting we return once more to a video from their official You Tube channel with the largest Buddhist gathering the world has ever seen with close onto a million supporters. Prepare to be astonished and maybe even disturbed.
